PSN Name Change Feature Is Coming Soon: Report

Image
Sony  may finally allow you to change your PlayStation Network ( PSN ) username in the near future. Multiple game developers claim that they've been revisiting their games to ensure they are compatible with Sony's plans. Speaking to Kotaku, one of them even shared a photo from Sony's own internal documentation of a PSN profile that had an option to 'edit username'. According to that source, the documentation was a guide for changing one's PSN username. Since PSN's inception in 2006, the service has lacked the ability for users to change their names. After 12 years and many requests it may finally arrive. "We don’t yet have any sort of timeframe for the feature, and those developers have suggested that as a result of how PSN IDs were originally implemented (linking your account ID to your username rather than some sort of universally unique identifier), retroactively fixing old multiplayer games might be a time-consuming and difficult prospect,&quo

The Periodic Table Concepts-Mendeleev's Periodic Table

Image
Organizing Elements For many years, scientists looked for a good way to organize the elements. This became increasingly important as more and more elements were discovered. An ingenious method of organizing elements was developed in 1869 by a Russian scientist named Dmitri Mendeleev, who is pictured  below . Mendeleev’s method of organizing elements was later revised, but it served as a basis for the method that is still used today.  [Figure 1] Mendeleev was a teacher as well as a chemist. He was writing a chemistry textbook and wanted to find a way to organize the 63 known elements so it would be easier for students to learn about them. He made a set of cards of the elements, similar to a deck of playing cards. On each card, he wrote the name of a different  element , its atomic mass, and other known properties. Mendeleev arranged and rearranged the cards in many different ways, looking for a pattern. He finally found it when he placed the elements in order by increasing a

Physical Science Concepts For Middle School-Introduction to Physical Science

Image
Are you curious about other planets? Did you ever wish you could explore them like the Mars rover in this picture? If so, then you’re thinking like a scientist. Scientists are curious about things in nature, and they do investigations to better understand them. They often use technology—from microscopes to Mars rovers—to extend their own senses so they can learn even more. In this unit, you’ll read about how scientists think and how they investigate and explore the natural world. Chapter Outline Does the word  science  make you think of high-tech labs and researchers in white coats like the ones in this picture? This is often an accurate image of science but not always. If you look up science in a dictionary, you would find that it comes from a Latin word that means “having knowledge.” However, this isn’t an adequate definition either. What is Science? Science is more about gaining knowledge than it is about simply having knowledge.  Science  is a way of learning about

Researchers take first steps towards telepathy

Image
Massachusetts [United States], October 1: Reading one's mind may scientifically be true after all. Researchers have built a system called BrainNet which allows an actual exchange of thoughts between the brains. The precursor to BrainNet was a gear that University of Washington researchers used in 2015 to connect two people through a brain-to-brain interface. In its modern avatar, BrainNet allows three people to join a conversation using brain-to-brain network, Engadget reported. Using BrainNet, the participant group is able to play a collaborative Tetris-like game. The network uses a combination of electroencephalograms to record electrical activity and transcranial magnetic stimulation to send info. What differentiates it from telepathy is that BrainNet requires external intervention. It can only send one bit of data at a time. However, with advancements, it can be scaled up to transmit more complex thoughts across groups.

In that case, it will also recommend alternative routes and additionally for Android users, it will send notifications about delays on your route as they happen, so you can know about an incident before you get caught up in the delay. Google Maps to offer support for mixed-mode commutes Not only that, Google Maps will now be able to show estimated time for travel including multiple transportation modes, if that's what you do such as
