How to update/Link aadhaar Number in irctc account

  1. Visit the IRCTC website: Go to www.irctc.co.in. 
  2. Login: Enter your User ID and Password to log in to your IRCTC account. 
  3. Navigate to My Profile: Once logged in, go to the "My Profile" section. 
  4. Select Aadhaar KYC: Find and select the "Aadhaar KYC" option. 
  5. Enter Aadhaar Number: Input your 12-digit Aadhaar number. 
  6. Verify with OTP: Click on "Send OTP" and enter the OTP received on your Aadhaar-linked mobile number. 
  7. Submit and Verify: Submit the OTP and click on "Verify" to complete the authentication process. 
After successful verification, your Aadhaar details will be linked to your IRCTC account. This allows you to book up to 12 tickets per month and also helps in booking Tatkal tickets.

Shrinking Nemo: Clownfish survive heatwaves by shrinking

  Clownfish have been shown to shrink in order to survive heat stress and avoid social conflict, Newcastle University research reveals. The fish, recognisable from the starring role in the film 'Finding Nemo', were studied by academics from the universities of Newcastle, Leeds and Boston, USA. The work was conducted in collaboration with Mahonia Na Dari Conservation and Research Centre, in Kimbe Bay, Papua New Guinea. The team measured the length of 134 clownfish every month for five months, and monitored the water temperature every 4-6 days, during a marine heatwave which are becoming increasingly common as a result of climate change. Publishing in the journal  Science Advances , they reveal the remarkable ability of clownfish to shrink, i.e. they can get shorter, in response to heat stress.
